What to think about before ordering hockey kit
A few decisions up front save the committee weeks of chasing later in the season.
Shorts, skorts or both?
Most clubs run shorts for the men's and junior boys' sides and skorts for the women's and girls' sides, with both offered as an option across mixed teams. Because everything is sublimated to the same artwork, offering both costs nothing extra in design — it just means listing both on your club shop so members choose for themselves.
Goalkeeper kit
Hockey goalkeepers need a shirt that is clearly different from outfield players and roomy enough to sit over padding. We usually build a contrasting colourway from your main artwork and size up, so the GK still looks part of the same club.
Sizing across junior and senior squads
Hockey clubs typically kit U10s through to veterans from the same design. We supply a size guide and, if you use a club shop, each member selects their own size at checkout — which removes the single biggest cause of ordering mistakes.
Sponsors and affiliation
Sponsor logos are redrawn and placed free of charge. If your league or England Hockey affiliation has rules on numbering or advertising placement, tell us at design stage and we'll lay the kit out to suit before anything goes to print.
Ordering window
Pre-season is the busiest window for hockey. Design mockups usually come back inside 48 hours, and production plus UK delivery typically takes 3–4 weeks from approval — so allow roughly a month from first enquiry to kit in hands.
Reordering mid-season
Your artwork stays on file permanently. New members, replacements and second-team expansions can be ordered at any point without redesigning or hitting a minimum quantity.
